A prophet will speak to you in terms of strategy

When a prophet of God, whom speaks out of the calling of the five fold ministry of a prophet, speak to you it often is in terms of strategy.   They will tell you of possible things to come and speak to you of strategy from God on how to avoid or obtain those possible results.   They will speak to you about your weakness and how to fortify them.  They will speak to you about your strengths and how God desires to use those strengths in you and through you.
In the Old Testament the Kings would consult with the prophet before going to battle so as to not come face to face with certain death and defeat.  The prophet would seek and hear from God concerning the enemies attack strategy and thus direct the king concerning counter measures and strategy to defeat the enemy.
If you do not have a prophetic voice of God speaking to you then you may be missing the foresight of the enemies strategy and thus loosing battles that God intends you to win.   Pastors and ministers of the five fold ministry there are some of you who are taking on battles and loosing.   Battles that you were never meant to fight.   This is because you have not surrounded yourself with those who can see and hear God concerning the strategy of the enemy.   Yes, you must be careful concerning who you let speak and influence you.  You should seek to test the spirit of the prophets words with scripture.  I suggest however that to run from him, because you don't believe prophets exist today or have fear of a false prophet, is causing you defeat.  Strategy is key in battle so I encourage you to seek God concerning His strategy in your life.   Understand that not everyone who speaks from a prophetic gift or speaks a prophetic word operates in the calling anointed by God in the five fold ministry, but also understand that the prophet does exist today.  The office of a prophet speaks to future things and often speaks on international levels.  They speak strategy to nations and regions.   They are desperately needed in ministry, in the leading of our nations, in our lives.  Don't let fear cause you defeat.  Do as scripture says and test the spirit of the word given and if it is found to be of the spirit of God, of the heart of God, then take it and gain victory through the word and in Gods word for you.

Open your ears

How long will you stand before the Lord with your ears closed to what He is saying to you.  I see you, that's right, you.  I see you sitting up in the dark crying out, whaling to God to hear you and respond back to you.  You are so desperate for Him to respond and yet in your own blindness and in your own flesh you have stuffed wax into your ears.  Yes I see you even now with wax balled up and crammed into your ears.  You have sealed your ears with your fear and lack of belief and hope in the King of Kings.  You have tried to overcome things in your own flesh and it has resolved nothing. But you have forgotten who you are.   You have forgotten who is your King, who is your father.  How long will you plug your ears all the while crying out saying "God why will you not answer me".  I tell you child of God be still and clean out your ears tha you may hear what He is speaking to you even now.  Be still and Hear His voice.  He has been and still even now is speaking to you.

They got that from you!

I wanted to write this out on FB but as I proceded to do so it I realized that it may be better suited in a blog.   So here I am on this blog writing about my children and God.

It is amazing how the things that we do in life are picked up by our children.  All to often our actions, reactions, words, attitudes, emotions, feelings, and beliefs are repeated back to us by our children.  I have often heard parents talk about how their children said a certain word or phrase and wonder where they heard that from.   What they don't realize is that they themselves often have used that very same word or phrase.   So if your child is mimicking back something unpleasant you might want to check the mirror for the source first.

This being said I wanted to brag on my kids a little.   In this process of stepping into and activating the callings and giftings that God has given me I did not realize how much my thought process and thus my speach had changed.   It has recently taken me by surprise, when I have accidently hurt myself, that both of my children will come to me and say "Daddy can I pray for you"?  They don't run to get a bandaid or ask if I need some kind of medicine or a doctor.  They ask if they can pray.    The awesome thing is that a majority of the time God answers their prayers.   They are young and no one has wrongfully told them that "God does not heal" or "it dosent work that way".  I did not realize it until recently but the reason my children respond that way is because they are mimicking our responce.   When one of them gets hurt our first responce is "let's pray for that" and in our house hold we believe that God will and does heal.

What blew my mind about all of this is hour the mindset of our family has changed.  About 3 years ago we would have responded first with aspirin, medicine, doctor visits and so on and then afterward remember that we should ask God for help.   Through some of the training we received, under one of my mentors, in preparation to stepping into the ministry God has laid before us that mindset began to change for us as a family.  It was a complete shock to me when I realized that they were mimicking us and that we indeed had changed that much.  I don't say all of this to blow my own horn but to say I am proud of my children for turning to God first.

Just today my 4 year old daughter found a scratch on my back and she asked if it hurt.  I said it did and she responded by saying "I am going to be your doctor and pray for you to be healed".  After praying a simple prayer she asked "is it all better?".  I responded yes because it did stop hurting immediately.   She then jumped up and down and said "I am the best doctor in the world because I prayed for you and God healed you".  I wanted to share that story with you partly because it is a cute story about one of my princesses but also to demonstrate how your kids see and believe what they see you do.

I encourage you to take charge of the atmosphere in your home.   Speak life into your spouse and kids and they will mimicking it back to you.   Continue to build in them and it will become a life style.  Put yourself in the word and let God change you and you then will also begin to see a change in your family.

Timing

There is no doubt that it is very fulfilling and self confidence building when you are the right person at the right place and at the right time.   In that moment heroes rise up out of the unknown.  In that moment peoples lives change and they step into a place where they are doing what they were called to do.   People begin to find success where previously there had been failure.  In that moment we find out that we are capable of things that we had no clue we could do or were afraid we could not accomplish.

We see these opportunities in every aspect of life.   We see them in life and death situations.   We find them in war.   We see them in politics. They are in our sporting events.  We glorify those people who have risen up in these situations in our movies.  We even find these moments in our job and in every day life.

Each of these variables (right person, right place and right time) are important but for now I want to focus on having the right timing.   You may have all of the training in the world and even arrived at the correct location but of your timing is off then you miss it.   The full effect will not be reached.   In the 2014 World Cup we have seen time and again players who have missed goals due to their timing being off.   They have been highly trained and are in the correct position to score on the field but they time the kick wrong and lob the ball to the goalie or kick it over the goal.  The potential was there but the lack of timing caused that potential to not be reached.

We find this same thing in our spiritual walk as Christians.  Often when we hear the Lord speak to us concerning something He wants us to do we will quickly prepare ourselves and jump into the assumed location and go for it.  Far to often however we forget to wait on God.  We get out in our own flesh trying to make happen what we know God called us to.   We find this often when God is about to move in revival in an area.   As people, who are pressing into God, begin to become aware that God is about to move we see individuals jump out in desire to serve God and try to make it happen right now.  This unfortunately will often create a false move of God.   One where there is a lot of emotion and feeling but God is not in it.  The timing of God is vital in these situations. We need to step back a little and remain in the correct location and continue to practice and train.   When God is ready to move we can then step in and find fulfillment in what God wants to do through and in us.

A family friend of mine on several occasions heard The Lord to minister in another country.  He would pack up and go there and strive to fulfill what he heard God ask Him to do.   Several times he would return home having not accomplished the goal and would feel devastated and broken.  Then a year or so later he would a see that very thing come to pass just as he had heard only through someone else who had waited.  What had happened is he had missed the timing of God.  The man was the correct person.  He was well trained, and in the right location but the timing was wrong.

The opposite often will happen as well.  All around us we can easily find people who hung back and remained neutral for to long and have missed the opportunity to step into that which the Lord desired to fulfill through them.   This often happens when we are unsure that we have accurately heard what the Lord spoke.  Other times we are to afraid of mans opinion and do not step up the way we need to.

In Ecclesiastes 5:1 it says it like this..."For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven."  Ecclesiastes 8:6 also says "For there is a time and a way for everything, although man's trouble lies heavy on him."

Each part of the process is important.  This is particularly the case when it comes to staying within the timing of God.   When all three come together the fulfillment of Gods plan is fully brought forth.    I encourage each of you, once trained and in place, to wait for the timing of God to stop foreword and then fulfill that purpose which God has created you for.

Don't Miss It

Don't miss it.  Don't miss this opportunity that God has put before you.  Everything has been drawn together for this very moment at this time in your life.   Don't be caught out of place and miss the step that is being set before you.   The Lord has put everything in order.  He has put the correct people in your path, opened doors that no man can open, and closed doors that no man could close.  He has done all of this so that you have the opportunity to step into your destiny.   So that you can boldly step up and act on that which He has called you to and that which He has laid before you.  Sadly some of you find yourself in the wrong place.   You are not lined up.   Maybe you gave up on that dream that the Lord buried in your heart or maybe you lost focus of that vision that He gave you years before.   What ever the reason is, know that you are not in the correct place.   Place your eyes upon the Lord.  Turn your focus to the word and ask of Him to move you quickly into alignment.   Be willing to be redirected by the Lord and to be obedient.  Disobedience will cause you to miss your destiny. Don't miss your destiny.   Don't miss God.
