Is God Enough for You?

Is God enough for you?    Throughout life we often find that we are disappointed because things did not turn out the way we had planned.  We often find ourselves deeply wounded or hurt due to loss and rejection.   To all of this I must ask this question.   Is God enough?    Please understand that I write this out of a place of having things in life not always add up the way I thought they would or should.   I write this out of a place of having at times in my life to ask this very question.   Is God enough?  Is God big enough to handle the situation and see me through?  Is God still God to me despite what is going on?  Is God enough to satisfy me when everything else is dragging me down?  Is God enough for me?

Business owners, if for some reason your business was taken from you would God still be enough for you?   Is your identity wrapped in who God is in you or in the identity of your business and the status that it provides you?  Home owners if you found yourself in a situation where you lost your home, either by financial loss or by natural disaster, is God enough?  Those of you who have an abundance of funds in the bank would God still be enough for you if suddenly the market crashed and the value of the dollar went to zero?   Pastors and ministers, if the ministry that you have always dreamed of is suddenly pulled away from you, or if you find that God is calling  you to a place you do not want to go, is God enough for you.   If God never uses you again to minister in His mane is He still enough for you?  If you have lost a loved one or someone close to you, is God enough for you?

This is not a question of will God provide for you.   This is a question of the heart.   A question Job came face to face with in scripture.   Is God your all in all?  We should not be only seeking God when everything falls apart, but rather at every moment in our life.  That being said we should also not turn to things of this world out of frustration because we feel we were entitled to a different outcome than has occurred.  Simply put, if all else fails is God still worthy of being praised and glorified simply because of who He is?  Is God still on the throne in your life?  Is God enough for you?
